Parent involvement is the blood of any sports organization. Without parents, athletes have no purpose, direction, or motivation to compete at a high level. Some ways that parents can help with the team can include but are not limited to:
- Attending and watching meets. It is important to cheer and encourage all athletes; not just your own son or daughter. Every athlete likes to know that they did a good job; especially if it was from another parent.
- Asking questions about practice. It is difficult to know everything that your son or daughter does during their day with busy schedules. A simple, "What did you do today at practice" or "Is the team looking forward to the next meet?" will show your athlete that you care about what they are doing and will make them feel important.
